Raskaan sarjan laitteistolla ei ole sen kummempaa merkitystä, mutta Gigabyten X58A-UD9 tarjoaa tarvittavat USB 3.0 -liitännät.
Vaikka PCI-E -korttipaikoilla ei ollut merkitystä tämän päivän testissä, X58-piirisarjan neljällä ylimääräisellä PCI-E 2.0 -linjalla oli. Yksi näistä mahdollistaa suoran 5 Gb/s kaistan NEC D720200F1 USB 3.0 -kontrollerista piirisarjalle, väistäen vähempiarvoisten piirisarjojen mahdolliset kaistarajoitteet.
